The area also has many bicycle trails and scenic walks that visitors can enjoy at their leisure.
RSPB Old Moor
If you are looking for a place to go where you can relax, while at the same time watch your children get rid of some pent-up energy, then this is it! This beautiful nature reserve has an incredible cafe and visitor centre, several peaceful places to relax in or stroll around, a fun-filled playground area for children, as well as some great events to keep everyone entertained. All of these are the perfect ingredients for an excellent day out for the entire family!

Maurice Dobson Museum and Heritage Centre
This is a small village museum, organised and run by volunteers, that tells the long social and industrial story of Darfield’s history. The museum, housed in a restored Yeoman’s residence from the 1750s, first opened its doors in 2000 and contains a wide variety of interesting exhibits that illustrate the key elements of Darfield. Visitors to the museum get to view artefacts and domestic memorabilia displays of local importance, and much more.
